Pulse-width of Nano-second and Pico-second lasers can be measured with fast photodiodes or photomultipliers with an oscilloscope.
For measuring ultrashort laser pulses intensity autocorrelation or cross-correlation techniques can be employed. The goal is to measure the intensity and phase vs. time (or frequency) of such pulses. The spectrometer and Michelson Interferometer autocorrelator can be used for 1-D phase retrieval. The knowledge of the intensity and phase or the spectrum and spectral phase is sufficient to determine the pulse-width of an ultrashort laser. SciEngTech Solutions understands the customer requirements and provides pulse width measurement solutions from different manufacturers suitable to their requirements.
