What This Kit Demonstrates
- Long Delay Capability: Enables probe pulse delay of up to 1 μs, overcoming limitations of conventional free-space delay lines
- Compact Alternative to Long Optical Paths: Avoids impractical ~300 m optical path length required for mirror-based delay systems
- Regenerative Cavity Approach: Pulse is stored inside a regenerative amplifier-like cavity using two Pockels cells
- Controlled Pulse Extraction: Delayed pulse is released after the desired delay for downstream applications
- Ideal for Ultrafast Applications: Suitable for pump–probe spectroscopy and ultrafast optical experiments.
